WHAT PEOPLE WORE TO UTAH’S KILBY BLOCK PARTY [Photo Story]

Kilby Block Party, hosted on the fairgrounds of Salt Lake City, started as a small block party outside a garage-esque venue. When I was younger, my mom would take me here, where I would sell handmade hair clips on a fold-out table. Now, Kilby Block Party is a full-blown, three-day festival hosting major bands from My Chemical Romance to Phoebe Bridgers. Kilby has become a Utah cultural hub where all people, young and old, gather together to enjoy music in the spring sun. Like all festivals, Utahns show out in their best outfits. I wanted to document what the Utah fashion scene looks like, and there’s no better place to do it than Kilby Block Party. This year, we saw a boom of 70s fashion: lace, knit, flared jeans and prairie dresses.
