The Mouthful: Girl Scout Cookie Cocktails

Is it just me, or do college students get even more excited about Girl Scout Cookies than kids do?

If you think the cookies themselves are great, just wait until you try these Girl Scout Cookie cocktails from around the web. Yes, Girl Scout Cookies and booze. Together. Just in time for finals week.

    You are freaking welcome.

    The Thin Mint from Thrillist

This boozy milkshake combines gin, creme de menthe, creme de cacao and vanilla ice cream with the beloved minty cookies. I suspect that a gin and mint chocolate chip ice cream shake would be similar and more simple, so keep that tip in your pocket for whenever you need a minty alcoholic milkshake, like, right this second (I sympathize).

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Martini from Hungry Couple

Okay, this isn’t intentionally a Tag along cocktail, but it hits all the same flavor notes as the peanut butter patties. Try garnishing this martini with a vanilla cookie crumble for extra Girl Scout Cookie goodness.

Samoa Cookie Cocktail from For The Yum

For my money, Samoas are the best Girl Scout Cookies out there. And their flavors–chocolate, vanilla, coconut and caramel–are oh-so-conducive to cocktail nirvana. I love the creative use of chocolate and coconut on the rim.
