The English Department writes to express support for The Spectator staff, who have the responsibility of making editorial decisions. As a Department, we value the crucial work that journalists do and we value the need for them to be independent. We also stand with LGBTQ+ students, faculty, and staff in our department, college, and campus community and continue to support and invite the inclusion of all voices and perspectives, most particularly marginalized ones.
