Giving relationship advice of any kind.

Q: My friend told me a pretty big secret… I’m worried about them and their safety. What should I do?

A: It depends on what kind of safety we’re talking about. If it’s physical safety, tell someone else NOW. I’ve had to make tough choices like that… trust me, it’s always better to end up with someone mad at you than someone hurt. They WILL forgive you. If it’s emotional danger, I’d be there for them in any way you can. You know your friend best, and you know what will help the most.

Q: I really want to join some clubs, but in high school I was kinda the nerd. I’m really nervous, what would you do?

A: A good rule of thumb is that with clubs, even if you consider yourself a nerd, you’ll be surrounded by people who love the same things you do! It’s hard to judge someone when they like the same things you do. Clubs are a wonderful way to meet people who have things in common with you. Worst case, you can go to a club meeting once to try it out and not go back if it isn’t for you.
